It is the Policy of Glasgiven Contracts Ltd to take all reasonable action to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all staff, clients and visitors to their premises. Glasgiven Contracts Ltd will ensure that all facilities, equipment, etc., is maintained in a safe condition at all times. In order for Glasgiven Contracts Ltd to attain these standards and conditions, the following requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Order (NI) 1978 must be met: –

i) The provision of, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe areas of work within the facilities at all times, with proper means of access and egress.
ii) The provision and maintenance of equipment, resources etc., that are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health.
iii) The provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all employees whilst they are at             work.
iv) To make arrangements for ensuring safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
v) To provide and maintain a working environment for employees and visitors that is safe and without risks to health and is adequate as regards facilities and arrangements for their welfare,
vi) To provide such protective equipment as is necessary for the health and safety at work of employees and visitors.
vii) To monitor the effectiveness of health and safety provisions within the company, in consultation with the appointed safety representative, if any.
viii) Reviewed operational performance using appropriate measures. Review accident investigation reports and audit information.
ix) To keep the Health and Safety Policy under regular review and to duly publish any amendments.

The Director Liam Murphy of Glasgiven Contracts Ltd accepts overall responsibility for Health and Safety, by signing this Health and Safety Policy Statement the Director commits to ensuring that all resources are available necessary to attain a reasonable standard of Health and Safety.

It is the duty of every employee whilst at work: –
i) To take all possible care for the health and safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their activities
ii) To co-operate with management in every possible way to enable Glasgiven Contracts Ltd Health and Safety Policy to be complied with
iii) It is also a responsibility of each employee not to misuse or interfere with anything provided by the employer in the interests of health, safety and welfare.

Glasgiven Contracts Ltd asks that, all employees should have safety in mind at all times and should make proper use of equipment and must use the appropriate safe systems of work which are provided. Duties of various levels of management and personnel are set out in detail within this Health and Safety Policy. This Health and Safety Policy sets a framework for continuous improvement, review and setting of objectives, it will be communicated to all interested external parties.

It is the responsibility of Liam Murphy to regularly update and review this Health and Safety Statement on an annual basis, and if or when circumstances change which affect the Health and Safety Policy.
